United Indoor Football

The United Indoor Football League, or UIF, began in 2005 and was comprised of teams located mainly in Midwestern cities. It played 8-on-8 games like most of the other indoor leagues that have been formed. The UIF was originally composed of several teams which left the NIFL and two former Arena Football League 2 teams using different names. One completely franchise was scheduled to play as well, but was suspended by the league before the start of the season.

At the end of the 2008 season, the UIF champion played the champion of the Intense Football League in a build up to the two leagues merging for the 2009 season under the name Indoor Football League.

The UFL game ball was a Baiden composite model with the league logo on one panel. A unique feature starting in 2007 was the addition of white arrowheads at the tip of each panel.
